Dika and Satria both were very good teachers. They did their best to help me learn the things I was interested in. And we still go through almost all of CB 1A book. They both had sense of humor and patience, which made the class very enjoyable.

I have truly enjoyed my classes at CB and feel quite confident and proud of the way I can speak with Balinese. Cleo is a wonderful teacher. She is very clear in her explanations, and I know she prepares creative explanations and exercises in advance. My Testimonial after studying Bahasa Indonesia with Mbak Viona (March 2020 - Sept 2020). I first met Mbak Viona when I was in Ubud in early March 2020, and had enrolled at Cinta Bahasa to resume my language studies at the school. I have been studying Bahasa Indonesia with private teachers for the past six years, during my annual winter visits to Bali. However, after only three classes this year, the school was closed due to COVID19. I returned to Canada shortly after. I decided to try online language instruction, and resumed my classes with Mbak Viona at the end of March. I have met with her weekly for the past six months. I was reluctant to study online, but have found the experience to be very worthwhile. Mbak Viona is very knowledgeable about language learning, and very adept at using technology to communicate. She was always very organized, resourceful, and responsive to my needs, providing me with a detailed, personalized curriculum overview; sufficient homework to practice grammar skills introduced; many opportunities to practice reading and speaking; and a variety of podcasts to develop my ear /listening skills. Mbak Viona offered all of the above in a light hearted, fun atmosphere, always offering encouragement based in her belief that language learning is a lifelong experience. I appreciated in particular benefitting from Mbak Viona’s personal experience and passion for learning languages built upon a strong grammar foundation, as she could appreciate both my preference and passion for grammar study, along with its challenges and frustrations. As it seems unlikely at this time that we will be returning to Bali in 2021, I have decided, reluctantly, to pause my studies at Cinta Bahasa for the moment. Cinta Bahasa is a really well-organized and reliable school to work with, it is worth every penny. My guru, Satria, was the most amazing guy to learn with. He’s super funny and has amazing teaching skills. He shaped the lessons in a way so that i had fun learning and he was very zealous to provide me with topics i’m interested in. When we talked about a topic, he came up with an article in bahasa and simplyfied it so that i could learn about language and culture at the same time. My online learning experience with Cinta Bahasa was brilliant. My teacher was wonderfully warm and patient with me and we ended up being lovely friends. My vocab has expanded significantly and I can read, write and speak Indonesian at a decent level which makes me really happy.

The one-on-one online learning tutorial with Mbak Ace was exactly the kick start I needed to learn Indonesian, and the progress I have made since then would not have been possible without her! I barely spoke a single word when we started, but she made the experience immersive from the very beginning, and the progress came so quickly. Every class was tailored to my interests and needs, and we had wonderful conversations together too. The learning method using Skype and Google Docs was really effective, and now I can always review every class whenever I need a refresh. Highly recommend, 10/10.

I have done my first bahasa Indonesia classes with Cinta Bahasa before, and it was nice to come back again! I was learning with Satria this time and always enjoyed the classes. He’s easy and fun to talk to, and chatting is more like to a friend than with a teacher. He also would fit the material to my interests. The lessons helped me to improve my Bahasa Indonesia a lot. I never had so much fun in class and enjoyed learning so much. A great mix between following the script but also answering questions about how to make sentences for every day live situations.

I did the 12 week intensive course with Satria via Skype. After muddling along for a few years with basic Indonesian i now have confidence to conduct conversations in Indonesian during my travels across the islands. Satria was able to provide me with a good mix of formal language training along with normal day-to-day conversational styles to make myself better understood and to vastly improve my listening capabilities. Ace was a great teacher - lots of fun and we have a good laugh as well as studying Bahasa Indonesia. I had a series of online private lessons while the UK (where I am) was in the extended lockdown. Lessons with Ace were the highlight of my week and I really improved my skills in Indonesian. I learned a lot and feel that I made a good friend too. I will definitely be back to do more classes. Learning online with Cinta Bahasa was an enjoyable experience as the team provided me with opportunities to learn the basics face-to-face via video calls whilst being supported with their quality Bahasa Indonesia curriculum. Throughout my online course I was able to focus on developing the four critical language skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Communicating together with the teacher, I could aim for particular learning goals and themes in each lesson. Cinta Bahasa also provided me with extra resources such as videos and audio files that extended my learning beyond each online lesson. I was able to learn both Bahasa Indonesia and the culture of Indonesia which was very fascinating. Learning online with Cinta Bahasa was fun, rewarding and has inspired me to visit Cinta Bahasa Ubud Bali in the future.

Guru Viona has been to me an amazing teacher. From the first class I knew that it would be very smooth and smart way of studying. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting to be excited going back to school! In only 20 hours I can see a very good progression of my indonesian. Satria is an awesome teacher. He provided real life experience and up to date lndonesian lingo for every day use. My classes were fun and he spoke to me in Indonesian the majority of the time. I feel that I have improved all aspects of my Indonesian skills greatly. Cinta Bahasa provides comprehensive and useful curriculum.

We had an amazing two weeks with Wulan teaching us to speak Bahasa Indonesian. We had private lessons which I would highly recommend. Wulan was extremely easy to follow and was slow and patient with extremely good grasp of English - making the transition from both languages much easier. I would highly recommend Cinta Bahasa and if you can get Wulan to teach you then you will be well on your way to speaking fluent Indonesian :) Thanks guys for such a great experience.
