Thanks to Cinta Bahasa and Guru Vetta for this beginner class. I was glad to be at every lesson. If someone like to study bahasa Indonesia in school I would well recommend CB as a good way to start. Hope to have next class soon.

It was my 1 month in Bali and I wanted to learn Indonesian since my nanny does not speak English. I was so amazed how fast I was able to start talking in class. The class was super. The curriculum is smart and easy to follow, not too slow, not too fast. Guru Vetta has a very good disciplined style to teach and she made it easy and acceptable. I am on hormones and breastfeeding, which means I forget everything and it’s kinda like early Alzheimer haha. So if I can do it, you can do it too! Thank you guru Vetta!!! Also for all the cultural and Bali stuff I could ask.

I stayed 3 days to start bahasa at Cinta Bahasa. It was really good start and makes me a good impression to get into Indonesia culture and custom. I will come back soon to learn more next year. Thanks a lot!

Gustra is the best teacher for those who are beginners but still know basic Indonesians. He is patient with all of us, and the structure and how he organizes the lessons is bagus.

This is my first lesson in Indonesian language. My teacher taught me very patiently, especially about my pronunciation. The lesson is useful because it’s a kind of situation dialogue.

We had a private class of 20 hours with Trias and Yasa. Both are great teacher, extremely kind, resourceful and flexible! We learnt a lot, we laughed a lot and enjoyed every minute. For sure we are planning to come again. Terima kasih Trias and Yasa!!

I came to Cinta Bahasa not knowing anything about speaking in bahasa Indonesia. So I really had to start from scratch. Now, two weeks later, I am writing and speaking basic bahasa Indonesia to get me through. I know the key now is to practice as much as I can. It was an enlightening experience again, this pre-intermediate course with Vetta. Different from the beginner course in that it needed more of us understanding the context of the words we learned instead of just learning them which sometimes made it harder, I must say, but Vetta was a dedicated and very patient teacher. He found out immediately where my weakness were and directed his focus to these. However, I did not only improve my bahasa Indonesia a lot but also learned about the culture and everyday life in Bali. I can recommend Cinta Bahasa and especially teacher Gusde to everyone who wants to improve his language skills. I really enjoyed learning bahasa Indonesia at Cinta Bahasa. The pace of the class was challenging (in a good way) and I am surprised by how much we were able to cover! I enjoyed both Vetta and Okta as teachers — they were prepared, patient, and friendly. I appreciated that I was able to have some lessons via Skype as my teaching schedule did not allow me to arrive on time. Cinta Bahasa is an excellent language school to learn bahasa Indonesia. My teachers were excellent, professional, and very knowledgeable. They taught in a clear and concise manner, and were able to explain the structures of the Indonesian language. The pre-intermediate class was really good to start to speak Indonesian more freely, so it helped me a lot to lose the fear to say something wrong. It is kind of sad again that the course is over. I am thankful for the senseful built up course like that after beginner course.

I’ve tried other schools and Cinta Bahasa is by far the best school for learning bahasa Indonesia anywhere in Bali. Don’t be daunted by the meagre extra funds you pay here-if your objective is to learn the language you certainly get far more than you pay for. Kudos to the Cinta Bahasa team.

The teacher at Cinta Bahasa are first class. For me, learning through Cinta Bahasa has been the best option for further Indonesian studies. Learning Indonesian through Cinta Bahasa online has become my meditation and it was a dream to then study at this outstanding school in Ubud.

Guru Yasa has been my Basa Bali teacher for 60 hours! I have loved studying with him. Since I live in Bali 10 years and I have many Balinese friends, I have loved learning the Balinese language! He is also teaching me the aksara written language of Balinese, which is the Sanskrit characters. What a great week of learning bahasa Indonesia. We were able to learn a lot more of the language in a fun class setting. Thank you Cinta Bahasa for your wonderful teaching and hospitality. We are grateful!

I learned so much these four weeks! My head actually feels like there’s no more room for anything else. So I’ll be having a break for a few weeks before I actually start the pre-intermediate. And I do want to continue studying and study at this nice little language school with these very friendly and competent people! I especially want to give my thanks and recommend our teacher Vetta, since she helped us understand the basics of bahasa Indonesia in a way that made us want to learn more!

I really enjoyed the course and especially Vetta’s approach of teaching! The pace of the course is really good. 2 hours per day every day really creates consistency and continuity, and that is very valuable. I like the fact that we covered lots of grammar and quite a bit of vocabulary over the four weeks. The lessons were well structured. It was helpful to have homework review, new words, conversation, and reading in every class. It would be more helpful if you could provide more consistent corrections for pronunciation everytime we make a mistake. I think pronunciation is especially important when learning a new language. Also the biggest challenge for me was having enough time and a good strategy for memorizing new vocabulary words outside of class. More guidance about this would be helpful. Terima kasih banyak!

I really enjoyed the beginner class with Mbak Vetta. I went from zero Indonesian to being able to communicate in proper sentences about a few different topics. She is a great teacher (and if you try to skip ahead and ask too many advance questions, be prepared to get “nanti-ed”.

I really enjoyed studying in Cinta Bahasa. We learned so much in a very short time. Besides, I think the atmosphere is very nice and friendly, with also a lot of fun! Recommended!

Very intense learning protocol. From speaking no Indonesian, after 20 hours of learning at Cinta Bahasa, I can now communicate lightly with locals. Fantastic course by Okta! I learnt a lot useful words and sentences in this 3-hour Crash Course. The teacher was really nice, clear and professional and patient in answering all my questions. Pak Gusde did a very good job teaching me new grammar and vocabulary. He gave me homework to practice on and articles to translate about subjects I was interesting in learning about including current affairs. We also talked a lot about Indonesian culture and the Hindu religion which I ejoyed.

My 20 houra of private lessons were very helpful. I am now able to communicate with people in many different situations and my confidence has grown. I am so happy with my course that I decided to sign up for 20 more hours. Gusde is an excellent teacher, patient and he can explain things in a way that is easy to understand and remember. I am so much comfortable withIndonesian after 3 weeks with Cinta Bahasa. They taught in a structured manner but also found and fixed many of the grammatical mistakes I made and developed my ability to be conversational and understood. The classes allowed me to progress grammatically and also gave me the freedom to learn about political and cultural subjects interesting to me while speaking Indonesian. I would definitely recommend Cinta Bahasa to other students.

I really enjoyed the classes. The teacher were very friendly and helpful. They were also very patient with us.
It was hard to keep up at times, as sometimes the lessons move very fast and I didn’t quite fully understand. It can also be very hard to keep paying attention for 2 hours. I think it would be better if we used the textbook more, as we seemed to hardly use it.

The content of the lessons I really enjoyed but the environment for learning was distracting. I would prefer to learn in quieter environment such as a classroom or less public area.

Cinta Bahasa taught me the fundamentals and foundation of the Indonesian language, which allowed me to understand the language better and become more proficient in it. Thank you teachers at Cinta Bahasa for educating us at Global Hobo for the past month in Canggu. I have absolutely loved learning bahasa Indonesia. It has really made me feel comfortable socialising and living in the area. Though I feel 1 month dragged on a little and may be the reason for a few students unattending towards the end. Maybe more intensive class for the first couple of weeks perhaps?

Veni Vidi Vici – I came, I saw, I conquered. After 35 years of visiting Indonesia, I have finally moved on from bagus and jalan-jalan. If you can compare learning a language to climbing Everest, I feel I am well on the path to base camp. All the staff at CB have been very patient and supportive, especially Pak Tony who guided me in my often spluttering attempts at speaking bahasa Indonesia, and became a dear friend. As General MacArthur famously said: “I shall return.”

I only took the 20 hr package as I only had limited time available here in Bali. It was a great refresher as I already knew the basics of the Indonesian language.
