Vuri Fitria Sari graduated from the Institute of Tourism Yogyakarta, majoring in Tourism.
For her, being a teacher isn't just about passion, but it has utility in allowing her to explore other cultures intimately, and meet interesting people. Besides being a teacher, she is also a poet. She has written hundreds of English-language poems, and performed at dozens of poetry-speaking competitions and conventions.
As both a teacher and a poet, she likes to see language not just as a functional way to communicate, but as an art form. She therefore likes her students to experiment with Bahasa Indonesia, so they can speak with precision and directness, but also with colour and personality. She likes her students to always be open minded!
